Il y a quelques temps, j’ai été invitée à découvrir le magasin SMETS à Bruxelles lors d’un évènement dont les hôtesses n’étaient autres que Mademoiselle Robot et AfterDRK.
A while ago, I was kindly invited to discover the SMETS Premium Store at Brussels during an event hosted by two famous bloggers: Mademoiselle Robot and AfterDRK.
Arrivée bien trop longtemps à l’avance – le magasin n’est pas au milieu du sac de noeuds de bagnoles qu’est Bruxelles comme je le redoutais-, en bonne alcoolique mondaine que je suis (vêtue de mes bottines pleines de poussières de travaux, le glamour, ça me connaît!), je me suis donc dirigée vers le bar afin de patienter en découvrant une des facettes du bâtiment et du concept.
Arrived way too earlier – the shop was not located in the middle of the traffic-jam-mess which is Brussels as I doubted it-, as a good poshy alcoholic as I am (with my boots full of dust from the works, glamour glamour, I know how to!), I thus went to the bar in order to wait and discover at the same time another face of the concept.

J’ai ensuite pu me balader dans le magasin et découvrir le vaste choix de marques mais aussi de domaines proposés. Ainsi, la décoration, le maquillage (Bobbi Brown corner, OPI nail bar and shop, Cosmeticary…), ou encore une belle partie dédiée aux accessoires viennent ponctuer le pilier central de chez SMETS: la Mode. L’établissement n’est pas non plus en manque d’un vaste choix de chaussures (Marc by Marc Jacobs, Charlotte Olympia, Louboutin, …).
I then was able to walk around and discover the huuuuuge choice of brands displayed in lots of different fields of action. I mean that interior design, make-up (Bobbi Brown corner, OPI nail bar and shop, Cosmeticary,…), as well as an important part dedicated to accessories and jewels came to pop-up the main focus of SMETS: fashion. Moreover, there also was a large choice of shoes (Marc by Marc Jacobs, Charlotte Olympia, Louboutin,…)

Evidemment, vous vous doutez que par les marques présentes, le magasin ne cible pas les petites bourses… Cela dit, c’est intéressant d’avoir un espace unique et facile d’accès qui propose, sur deux étages, autant de choix.
Of course, given the brands sold there, you might have guessed that the shop is not targetting small purses… However, it’s interesting to have a unique space with an easy access which allows to have a soooo large choice of different brands displayed on two floors.
