L’Occitane… Pamper yourself!

Given I litterally fell in love with the moisturizing products from L’Occitane, I wanted to tell you a little bit more about this brand. I thus decided to write a special « I heart post » about what I like at L’Occitane.

For the moment, I’ve been drowning in the works for the house for almost one month and therefore, the shower has become one of the very rare moments where I can finally feel clean and during which I am not in contact AT ALL with any dust (thanks God!). With this winter lasting for too long, the quick cold washing-up and, above all, the stress, my skin is starting to get eczema again in parts of my body I had never had before. I thus need some real help to keep my skin safe.

In order to get a really hydrated skin, I have almost stopped using regular shower gels – more and more aggressive for my skin- and only wash myself with shower oil. I first used the Eucerin shower oil which was the only one I knew but now I enjoy to change my shower routine thanks to the Almond shower oil. All this is the result of a small sample I got when I came to buy a lot of hand creams (which I wrote about HERE) … Small sample that has now become big and has well settled in my bathroom !

The L’Occitane shower oil is thicker than the Eucerin one which means, it doesn’t drop easily through your fingers as does the Eucerin. Once you apply it on your wet skin, it becomes really easy to spread all over your body and is as easy to rinse off. The smell is enchanting and not too strong. Once out of my shower, I’m careful of not rubbing my towel on my skin. Instead, I dab it onto my skin and that’s it !

The Sweet Almond range isn’t limited to the shower oil but has plenty of hydrating creams that I’m looking forward to trying out once I have finished the delicious Honey Whipped Body Cream I told you about some months ago… Which won’t last too long because if I don’t prevent myself… I would finish it licking it… Yeah, sometimes I have weird feelings… Don’t worry!

There is the 2-in-1 Milk Concentrate (both firming up and smoothing the skin) but also some hand creams, a scrub ( the Delicious Paste with sugar and tiny almond chunks… It really must be heaven !), soaps, body milk… and not to be mentionned the refill which avoids the waste of plastic bottles.

Moreover, L’Occitane likes to complete its basics with limited editions. They try to diversify their products and thus, all year long, you have different limited editions with a fragrance included. For the moment, it’s a cherry spring limited edition with a lovely kind of sparkling, fresh and sweet smell. A good solution to go on through winter and welcoming spring at the same time ! Though we don’t really need spring… Don’t we ? Yeah… We WANT spring!!!

Again, here, there are plenty of things to make you happy. Cute soaps, body and hand creams, body milk, shower gel… And of course… The eau de toilette.

But that’s not over yet! A small goblin came to whisper in my ear that L’Occitane wanted more. What « more » ? Well they have that lovely plan to work from now on with one of the noses from Grasse (yessss, Grasse… The city of the best fragrances in the world… Only that…) in order to improve their techniques for fragrances. Actually, there’s already one on its way but shhhhhhhh…

Finally, I also learnt that the headquarters of L’Occitane were in a splendid spa-hotel (and splendid is really a weak word… Believe me…) located in Mane-En-Provence and called Le Couvent des Minimes   (yes, like the brand sold at ICI Paris XL, L’Occitane owns it ladies !). In the spa-hotel, the chef Jérôme Roy is there to make you discover some « terroir » dishes, you can enjoy breathtaking landscapes typical of Provence, get some L’Occitane spa treatments or even ride a horse between two lavand fields.

Now it’s time for me to leave you but not without two of my beloved L’Occitane products… The Almond shower oil of course… But also the Hydration Cream with organic angelica water and essential oil I have already written about THERE. A perfect cream for oily to combination skins and for every skin types in summer. That cream is a real boost of hydration full of freshness which relieves you during hot summer days!

What about you? Have you already tested some products from L’Occitane? What do you enjoy most?

Alors?
